Door handles & window winders
« on: October 03, 2024, 06:10:02 PM »
Hi all, quick question mainly about the window winder handles for a 67 Coupe (Deluxe interior)  Are all of the window winder handles secured by a screw.  A lot of window winder & door handle bundles for sale show two of the window winder handles are secured by a clip.  What is correct please?  I thought they all had screws but I may be mistaken.

The 67-door window is secured with screws. The 67-quarter window is secured with set screws. The earlier models used the clips

The door opening handles are unique for the interior decor group equipped cars - make sure you have the right ones.  Here is a thread that discusses it: https://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=19766.msg124819#msg124819

Thanks for your information, very helpful.  I assume this also applies to the window winder handle where the correct window winder for interior decor car would the handle that has grooves removed where the screw hole is.

All of your questions are answered in the "1967 Mustang Body Assembly Manual" (AM0018) available from most Mustang parts suppliers. I strongly suggest you get a set. Get the paper version. You can't make notes on a disc.
