390 engine side equalizer bracket
« on: September 13, 2024, 08:28:25 PM »
Does anyone have a good picture of how the engine side equalizer bracket mounts on a FE?

Thanks, Pat

I am away from my picture files but I bet Jeff S. will be along to post one. FYI be aware that the 67 and 68 engines side bracket is different then the service replacement or 69/70 engine side bracket.

Thanks Bob.. It seems like the bracket fits a bit wonky. I currently have a reproduction but would be interested in an original if available..

The reproduction is like the 69/70 version. You would need the set to be 67/68 correct. The 67/68 ones has the engine block side adjustable (slotted holes) and the chassis side fixed holes . The engine side is shaped different as well so it is easy to distinguish besides the slotted holes. The 69/70 version ,reproduction and service replacement have the engine side fixed (round holes)and the chassis side adjustable (slotted holes). Of course the 69/70 slotted chassis side will work with the 67 /68 engine block side but it doesn't look right . I have some and will PM you tomorrow after I see what I have.
