Upper Stone Guard Spacer Question
« on: August 30, 2024, 06:21:49 PM »
Should there be a spacers or shims between to two center upper stone guard panel bolts where the panel contacts radiator support on 65-66 cars there seems to be a 1/4 -inch gap between the stone guard and rad support.

Sure sounds like another body shop fix. Be on the look out for things like metal shims, wood shingles, paint sticks cut down to space panels in or out or simply washers, lots of washers to take up gaps.  The chant "No one will ever see it or care" is stated over again since a pretty car is only judges on how it looks from the outside and driving down the road  :)

Have fun and enjoy the challenges as they come.
