Topic: 65 Interior Decor trim code

I feel like this should be easy to find, but I?m having problems understanding. 65 Mustang with all white deluxe interior, what is the trim code?

That deluxe combination, white/white, is not listed - but is might have been a special order. For a clue, what is the DSO?

Don't believe it was ever available and not even special order (except if your first name was Henry) since the materials to make the whole seat cover would not have been produced. Some of the guys like Drew had non-factory deluxe interior combinations made int he 80's and you might have run across one of those "improved" cars.  One of his favorites was red and white decor interior

Solid Palomino would have been the closest to all white in the list. Only three interior codes identified deluxe interiors with white in even the center sections - 62 for blue and white, 67 Aqua and White & code 68 for Ivy Gold and White

That makes sense why I couldn?t find it. Door tag is missing, but we have identified that the car is a true GT springtime yellow with deluxe interior.
So if I understand this correctly, the only solid colors available would?ve been black, Palomino, and red?
I can?t imagine any of the accent colors would have looked good

Black accents with white deluxe would be nice on a yellow car.  The accents are basically carpet/dashpad for that interior, everything else is white. 


Was there any original paint on interior parts to at least determine if it was white?

Palomino deluxe is also nice, although tough to match all the colors right.

So seats/door panels/rear quarters would all be white with black dash and carpet?

Attached is a chart of 65-66 Mustang interior codes for standard and deluxe interiors. It's what Ford "intended" to do. It at least spells out what different interior items should be considered.
Remember that a white car interior is a pain to keep clean.

Follow the interior code numbers. That gets us, and others, on the the same page.
My 66 GT K code Fastback is code number 62, blue/white. See attached.

Don't think that the chart he posted is from Ford source during production of the vehicle's since it includes both 65 and 66 interior codes. For interiors with differ colored appointments from the interior color those are 65 only combinations

Of course this is for standard interior combinations

Certainly a picture is worth 1000 words right? So for what I?m seeing of Jeff?s pictures everything on the interior would be white with the exception of the carpet, seatbelts, dash pad, speaker, grill, lower windshield trim 
What?s also interesting I would?ve thought the kick panels would have a carpeted black lower but none of the examples of Jeff show that
