1967 GT mustang coupe Correct window winder handles
« on: July 28, 2024, 07:40:03 PM »
Hi all, can you please advise whether the window winder handles for both front and rear (Coupe) are with or without screws.  My coupe has a mixture of both so I am not sure which are the correct handles for a 67 Deluxe interior Coupe.  My inner door handles are screw type so I assume that is correct.

Many thanks

Only the back windows (coupe and convertible) use set screws. The front window crank and door handle use a trim screw.

Thanks for the quick response.  When you say Set Screw, is that the Allan Key Head type screw? (Hexagon Head)

Some of the handles on my car have no screws at all.  they have a clip that holds them on between the handle and the door panel.  I assume they are off a later model.

Sometimes. Another "drive" used in that era for a set screw is a slot for a flat blade screwdriver. Do some homework and find out the part number. Use this forum's library.

No clips used on any 67s. Yes set screw = Allan key head.
