« on: July 05, 2024, 04:45:57 PM »
Does anyone know the design details for the vacuum hose that operates the shaker diaphragm for my car?  Have a great day.  Alan

Sorry I've not taken the time to colorize and put them (all 70 versions) in the 70 Library

Hope this helps

Interesting that it appears to show three 10" long vacuum hoses with blue tracers/identifier stripes in the main and View V drawings

Thanks Jeff, This is a different layout than the 351w with ram air.  My Ford assembly shop manual doesn't include the detail for the 351W ram air hose.  I assume they used the blue stripped hose for the ram air on the 351w also?  Alan

I just saw Dead Nuts On has the 351W vacuum hose kit that shows the blue strip mx hose going to what looks like the ram air

Sorry - no pictures due to where the hoses are installed and for the drawing that is just what Ford published for the ram air in the books I have

Not sure if the 70 351 2 or 4V are like the 70.

The layouts are in the ford shop assembly manual for each engine.  They combine the mustang and cougar layouts.  They don't have ram air in these layouts.  Thanks for your help.  Alan

Other diagrams of the vacuum routing are often found in the Vehicle Emission Control Systems booklets produced by Ford. Unfortunately Ford either didn't publish one for 1970 (not likely) or I've just not found a copy yet. Have 66-69 and 73 currently

Have 18 diagrams for 70 engines from who knows where after all these years and the one I posted was the only labeled for Ram Air
