Topic: Cowl to cowl over rectangle bumper question

Mine are still loose when pressing though but atleast it is correct if by judge.

Are the rectangular blocks original?  Does anyone know if they were also assembled on 70's?

For the cowl cover panel to cowl can't certain since I've found very few on 70's especially when compared to 69's

Looking through what I have only turned up one example of an early NJ built car shown at the top in the picture above

My related body parts are OEM.  My panel fitment is better but still not what I would like.  Since I have an early Metuchen car, I will add the rectangular blocks to see if it helps.  Thanks again Jeff!

Not like they will be seen so I suggest that for overall value you get the fit of the panels to be as good as original any way you can that can't be seen once assembled. Shot of shabby, cra**y choices of course.

I tried the block at many locations on the right side. I didn't see any improvement.  I added 4 or 5 strips of gorilla tape on the underside of the cowl panel where the windshield to cowl attachment bracket is.  This made a big improvement.  The cowl panel is much better aligned height wise with the fender.  All my panels and brackets associated with this area are original.  Alan
