Unusual 64.5-Early 65 Lug Wrench
« on: May 05, 2024, 07:27:32 PM »
Came across an ebay auction, https://www.ebay.com/itm/135043221468, with an early style open handle lug wrench I had not seen before, #1 in the photo below with a plate on the back covering the socket opening. Anyone know that this is for?

A quick search showed only one other thread with a photo of one of these but no discussion.....https://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=19491.

Thanks,
Dave

Very likely the same one(s) from my posting in reply #1 of the linked thread. I sold 5-6 ratchets to that seller.

Thanks Scott. Still a mystery I guess, likely back to one known example instead of two...

I have seen them before and have always assumed that they were a  64 1/2 or a seldom used oddity. At least I thought they weren't relevant for the 65/66 Shelby's that I am interested in so I have always passed them up at swap meets etc.

I've seen them in early 64.5 cars.
