How do you seat the 67 mustang exterior mirror flanged tube nut into the door skin?

If you can find a threaded stud for a heavy duty pop rivet tool that will work. If not a long screw that you put a nut on midway with a flat washer under. Put the nut insert under the washer and set in the door skin. Hold the screw from turning and tighten the nut to crimp the insert. Good luck Marty

There's a tool, like a pop rivet squeezer that can be used.
