Not really my year of knowledge (?), but I did find the attached in the 1965-72 Ford Master Parts Catalog, which I believe will answer your question.

Hope it will help.

The C9AF U is great as a parts donor since it is not original on any car because it was created as a generic service replacement for many applications. The base plate, metering blocks ,bowls and many other small parts are valuable to make other 1969 original Cobra jet Holley cars complete and whole again.

Hello Bob,
Thanks for replying to my post. I have another question regarding the Autolite tag. This tag has C9AFU stamped on it. Now will the choke air horn have the same thing stamped on it just like this tag? Or just C9AF? This is what is stamped on the choke air horn C9AF-9510-S

Sorry for not getting to to this post earlier

Ron, the air horn will have the C9AF 9510 U  with a date code underneath. I hope this helps.

To add if the carb air horn is stamped C9AF 9510-S then it is a much harder to find and valuable Boss 429 carb.

Was going to mention that but couldn't figure the best wording so left it up to you  :)

Bob,
Thanks again for the information. This is the carb that I'm asking about. it was fully restored and live run-tested by Vintage Musclecar Parts.

It appears close to fully restored only because I see somethings that they left off and some incorrect finishes but It looks very good over all. Best of luck in whatever the end purpose is.

So, what is not correct and what is missing?
Thanks again

The plastic metering screw covers are missing. Many carb restorers plate everything gold zinc when some things should be silver zinc. The things that I notice that I can tell from the picture which should be silver and not gold are the - short accelerator pump lever, dashpot screw, vent lever hold down screw, needle and seat lock screw. There may be other things that can't be seen in the pictures. Those are all somewhat easy things to fix . I hope this helps
