Topic: Fuel line clip location

Hello.  The PO of my car routed the fuel line on the passenger side for some reason.  I'm relocating it to where it came from the factory.  I'm trying to locate the locations and types of fasteners used at the factory.  Going through the pics on here, well, it's a lot of searching.  I'm wondering if there's a thread about this I'm not seeing.  Or, if someone has better info.

So far, the below pics are the only ones I've found that are useful to me.

The type of each clip and all of the different locations of each are illustrated in the 68 chassis assemblyline manual available from all major Mustang Parts vendors.

The assembly manual doesn't provide detailed enough locations for me.  I want to be very close to how it came from the factory.  I have new sheet metal (PO installed) and there are no holes to use.

I'm assuming we're talking about a 68 coupe with v8 correct? Where was it built? I'd be happy to share the route of my fuel line in my 68 coupe Metuchen built car if that's helpful.

Hi.  Sorry.  It's a 68 Fastback J code.  Dearborn.  I'd still be interested in your routing/clips.  It would certainly get me closer than the assembly manual, and guessing.

Sorry my response was based on the factory holes still being there. That is a lot of replacement sheet metal repair If all of the holes have been lost. FYI the holes on a Metuchen built car and a Dearborn built car are going to be real close if not exactly the same.

Hi Bob.  No worries.  I should have been clearer in my original post.  Usually I write too much info and confuse the question.

Not all of the holes have been lost to new sheet metal.  The PO just plug welded some of them!  I have no idea what aesthetic he was going for.  Thankfully he's not a great welder and I can sometimes tell where the hole was.  Oddly he welded the hole where the fuel line comes through the front fender apron.  I was able to re-drill it based on pics from here and him less than perfect weld.
