68 SJ Tilt Steering Column Installation
« on: October 27, 2023, 05:27:30 PM »
I have a few of questions regarding the tilt steering column installation. I checked the forum for photos and the assembly manual, but would like clarification.

Thanks

Looking to confirm location of the hardware below?

Is this grommet correct for my car?

Do you have a copy of the "1968 Mustang Chassis Assembly Manual" (AM0025)? That's the place to start.

These are the manuals I have been referencing regarding my questions before I posted, but could not confirm any answers, other than what I posted in the AMK kit

Great! The next step is if you have the Ford hardware part number, you can look in this forum's library under topic "Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet 67-68" and select file "MHW67-68AP06.xlsx" by application (use) or "MHW67-68PN06.xlsx" by part number. The "06" is the revision. Measure the sizes of the hardware in the AMK kit and compare. It's what I've done in the past with kits I've gotten from AMK direct or thru NPD among other.
