Happy Anniversary
« on: July 11, 2023, 06:28:52 PM »
Happy Anniversary ~!!

Yes it's 7/11 again and the site celebrates its 14th anniversary. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all that continue to contribute and make this the go-to site for so many owners and builders, for information, discussion and study of the details that make this hobby so much fun as well as challenging at times. We hope that our efforts make the path a little easier and the education rewarding.

THANK YOU ALL!

Congratulations. Still learning, and passing on some of what I was taught.

Happy anniversary to a wonderful site. No way it would work if not for so many who selflessly share their knowledge and work to elevate the state of restoring our cars.

Thanks to all the members here and all their contributions over the years.  This site is proof that advertisements/spam are unnecessary to keep an online forum going.  Jeff and I have received much appreciated forum donations, which have been plenty to keep the lights on and even purchase documentation/photographs that we feel are beneficial to the members and share for free.

The Concours Forum Facebook group is also doing well, we get a few posts a day with active engagement like here, membership is a little over 800 currently.  We also keep all the riff-raff at bay and do not allow any for sale/wanted ads or 'what's my car or part worth'.  So far has worked well and has a very similar feel to the forum here.

There's a member number?

Without this site I would be constructing a very forgettable, spray can special with almost no finishes correct.
Instead I've gone over the deep end with correct finishes including bare metal!

Now, if I could only get my car painted...

Yes, having been around since 2014, on and off, I have found good info here.  I still have not mastered the search function to find things, but will keep trying.  Sometimes it is easier to ask a question on the Facebook page and get the answer than try searching.
I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.
