Spray can interior paint. Where to find - 1967 Saddle
« on: May 28, 2023, 10:34:52 AM »
I am having difficulties finding spray cans of semi-gloss saddle paint. The common sources state ?out of stock?.

Any suggestions?

All,

I am interested in any suggestions where I might find the saddle paint - spray can or by the bucket! I have spray equipment and PPE. Spray cans were used in the past and have not had any luck finding saddle.

Thanks.

You will have to have the paint supplier match what you have.

I have a couple of follow-up questions regarding the interior saddle paint.

1.) Should I use lacquer paint on my interior fiberglass/metal panels?

2.) Any recommendations on how much paint should be ordered? This paint is for my signature car with fold-down rear seat. All interior panels will eventually be painted, including dash and doors. Optimally, all panels would be painted at the same time...but that may or may not be possible.

These questions are being asked from the perspective of what you would recommend or from what has worked for you.

Thanks in advance.

How many cans do you need? I have some extra full cans left over from a previous Restoration

The metal dash and doors were shot at the same time.
I've noticed variations on all the other panels. Even my steering column has three different hues/saturation on the upper and lower column hubs as well as the column itself.
The interior fiberglass is different between the upper and lowers pieces.

In reality all of these pieces were shot at separate places by vendors or internally at different places within  the assy plant.

To my eye it looks odd if they all match perfectly.
