Dearborn bulit - Wiper Nozzle holes at cowl , Plugged ?

So where the wiper goes through the cowl should three be some sort of sealant or caulking ?
I've seen some with and some without?

it was supposed to be there but some cars never received it. they are the exception.

I think "mistake" is more descriptive in this case. Since the strip caulk type sealant used in that area was so typical and so highly visible  a assemblyline inspector would have to be asleep or not present for a car without to get past inspection IMO.

Check the reference cars in the Unrestored section here.  I am seeing an August '64 Unrestored Dearborn car w/out the sealer. 


As Fred says, it's mostly common that it was used, but seen plenty of cars without it too.

Yes even though some got through a mistake non the less given they were engineered to have it .

Often have found this a difficult thing to document since the dum-dum hardens and can become dislodge. Also IMHO there is the possibility that Dearborn didn't start out using it with or without the nozzles but a look at their practices with the 64 Falcons and other models to see what they did on those earlier car and in turn that should help understand what their practices were by widening the search pattern

Just to ad some more to the discussion and focusing just on 65 Dearborn production. In full disclosure the pictures are from 5F08A7404xx and 5F07C7396xx in that order
