Engine Install process sequence 1968 GT 390
« on: April 15, 2023, 04:49:07 PM »
I am just prepping my motor and engine bay for installation and want to make sure that I am doing it right. Can someone confirm the orientation of the engine mount bolts. Any other suggestions or comments regarding sequence or do's and don'ts. FYI this is my first Mustang project and I am hoping to do out right and do it once. I have heard and read so many differing opinions of what should be removed and not installed until after the engine is installed. FYI I am planning to install the motor first and then transmission after. I believe that some folks install the motor with the transmission attached, but since it is such a tight fit I am questioning doing both at once. I tried searching the forum to see if I could find a thread specific to the motor install, but no such luck. Any help is appreciated.
