fold down seat latches
« on: April 15, 2023, 11:14:15 AM »
Hello,

I'm sourcing some original parts to replace reproduction pieces.  I'm a bit confused by the style of fold down seat latches used in 68 fastbacks.  Online I see several 67/68 "Concours" latches that have slotted mounting holes.  In fact, most of the latches I see online have slotted holes.  Elsewhere, including this forum, I've seen 68 latches with round holes and a threaded adjustable striker.  The Ford 68 Body Manual lists the part number as C8ZB-6361382-3.  Googling this does not result in meaningful results.  Hence, I'm not certain what would have existed from the factory on my 68.  My 1968 is 8F02J166xxx  Produced in mid March 68.

Thanks,
-Richard

My March of 68 GT500 has latches with round mounting holes. Yes, striker ends are threaded adjustable.

Hi Pat,

Thank you for the reply.  That's good to know.  It corroborates the other post on this site.

Thanks again,
