1965 289 Convertible Snorkel
« on: April 03, 2023, 08:33:05 PM »
Looking for photos or information on what the snorkel on a 289 convertible would look like.  These are the ones that have a notch cut out for the tubular brace that cuts across the snorkel.  I dont have an original piece so will modify one of the extra snorkels I have to match what the factory did.  April/May 1965 Dearborn built convertible.

This is from a 5F stamped one.  Not sure if this will give you everything you want, but reach out and I will take whatever measurements you need.

Thanks Mike....thats great....appreciate the photos and measurements.
I would still like to see what it looks like installed on a finished car if anyone has a photo they can post of that.

Marcus,

Do not have a picture with the snorkel installed, but the cut appears to have been made straight.

Ok thanks Mike...I see that now.  Straight cut is easier to make so thats good.  Ill see what I can do to modify an original....

Thanks Mike and those others who contacted me offline.  Was able to accurately modify a snorkel today...showing some before and after photos and why Ford had to cut the snorkel.
