1965 1966 heater plenum chamber
« on: March 25, 2023, 02:21:16 AM »
Finding one of these in perfect condition is almost impossible these days.  This one here has some repairs but once installed would look really good for someone who needs one and has no other options.  First picture shows what it would look like installed.  Repaired areas would not be seen once installed.
Asking $300.

What type of adhesive has worked successfully for you when repairing large cracks in the fiberglass plenum?

The assemblyline plenums like the one for sale in this ad are made of a cardboard type composite material not fiberglass.

Got it, composite cardboard not fiberglass.  Guess I was thinking about the heater box the plenum attaches to.

Thanks,

Prior to installation, and on any plenum removed, spay a couple of coats of Scotch-Guard on it, inside and out. Scotch-Guard is a water proofing spray. Also spray your the two defrost vents and don't forget the glove box. Scotch-Guard is invisible.
