Correct NJ Jack and Jack Handle for 1968 Mustang.
Interested in NJ sourced design for 1968 model year
Good used condition preferred, as I will strip and repaint.
Any information is appreciated.

The jack handle from a 1968 NJ car typically had a rounded barrel where the handle hinge is located. I think that maybe what he is looking for...

The additional posts and discussions related to general jack production and distribution were moved to another thread more closely related to that discussion so that the OP thread could focus on finding what he needs. If you want to read or follow the moved discussion it can be found starting with post/reply #69 in the thread below

I have 2 milk crates of jacks and related parts, but dont know what to look for in regards to a 68 NJ car ?.
I am familar with the 64-66 styles , but thought 67-70 jacks were the same,
I will check the article and compare with what I have.

I do not have any 67 Shelby jacks or jack handles, so please dont ask

So that you can check your jacks I will show some differences. As has been recently discussed examples of different MFG jacks can be found used at all plants however there are some styles that are more predominantly used then others from my observations. There are many subtle differences between jacks however the most visible difference between the longer 67-70 style jacks can be seen in the picture as how the screw drive interfaces with the jack body . The one seen most often times used at SJ is the "U" shaped variety. The steel block variety is most often seen used on Dearborn and NJ cars.

I went through my jacks ,
the only one I found that had that "steel block" style where the threaded rod goes through ,  is this one pictured.

If you think this will work for you , send me a personal message and i can give you a price and calculate shipping
