Air Conditioning Vacuum Actuator or Motor Finishes
« on: February 16, 2023, 08:58:32 PM »
Date coded. Common, single nipple versions found on factory A/C cars.
1967-68 are brown anodized and dated.
1969-70 are blue anodized and dated.
1971-73 are sheetmetal steel constructed and ink stamp dated.
The brown and blue ones are exactly the same except color as far as I can see. Might be an overlap between the years, not sure.

The 67-68  are not brown anodized .They are black chromate (which looks brown or bronze). The 69-70 are not blue anodized . They are blue chromate. At least I have done them in chromate and they look identical.

On my November 66 (67 year model), I experienced a somewhat translucent "green" look (in person) but flash made it look more or less black chromate (as Bob suggests).
Images of my example were share in first post of that thread.
