Here are a few more original examples from my yard trip today (another dozen were exactly the same - all three plants were represented.

All of them are now - last one was a coupe though design is basically the same originally.

Found another 68 fastback in a Michigan junkyard a few days ago - with trapezoid shaped weatherstrip.  For what it's worth...  Door was gone, did not find VIN on inner fender, and no buck tag.  John

Yes, an old topic, but more data for the same subject.  Look at 5 different unrestored 67's over the past month, and 4 coupes (R, F, and T mix) are all the "C" type for trunk lid weatherstrip.  The one fastback 7F02C165... was the trapezoid shape.  I've included a pic.   The second pic is one of the coupes 7T01C144... showing the "C" shape.
