     Metering Blocks 5554 & 4841
822 ? Not sure how to date this, but am thinking one month befor build date.  1968  Feburary  second week ?
How much of this info is stamped on the carb body and where ?  Corrections and suggestions.  Thanks,  Brian

Carb that you list is correct in that it is "C". Regarding date don't go ny the one month rule. Holley would build carbs in large batches. For instance I've never seen the automatic D carb with a later date than 814. I did hear that there was a run of C carbs in March. With your build date in march I don't think you would have gotten one of those but who knows. I think if you find an 811 you would be safe. My July car had the 814. The owner of Pony Carbs could verify some of the batch runs for you.

With Holleys you can't just create a date. They we made in batches. anywhere from 3 months before would be appropriate

Tim have you seen a a original 9510-D carb dated later than 814 which was original and not a replacement? I've looked at dozens and my 814 is the latest I've seen. For second half of production the 811 is the most common I've seen. I searched for years thinking that my car maybe had it's carb replaced. Then I was refered to pony carbs. Spoke with the owner at length about cars build date and carb date. That's when he said he hadn't seen or rebuilt a D later than I had. He said it was likely the original to my car. In the case of carbs I don't take the three month window as accurate.

Bryan the date is on the front of the air horn, Lh side, last line (3rd line), and first number is year, second number is month (1=Jan) and third number is week of month.
