64 1/2 air breather needed
« on: April 05, 2011, 05:45:31 PM »
Working on a Pace Car Coupe built April 13, 1964.  The air cleaner base is extremely rusty so I am looking for a new one. I may also post in parts wanted, but does anyone know if this base was used on anything else?  It has the pipe for the carb choke pickup tube, but it does NOT have the revised base for the 4V carburetor.  Pages 4-30 and 4-31 of Bob Mannel's book show the differences. The new repo doesn't have the tube and has the later style stamping, so I can't just install the tube.

Was it used on anything else? Got one on your shelf somewhere? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

Thanks guys
Dave

you might have to cut that baby off and move it too a different air cleaner only ever seen one of those in 30+ years and that was on 01 when it was pulled out of storage in deaborn back in the 80's

Unfotunately the later versions have a different indentation layout to clear the Autolite 4100 carbs.
