Glove Box Light
« on: October 12, 2022, 08:38:00 AM »
I have just realised my standard interior Boss doesn't have a glove box light and I was wondering if it is meant to? It is a Dearborn car with a 15 Nov 69 build date.

No glove box light. If your car came with the convenience group option then you would have gotten a map light above the glove box. It would also include a switch for the glove box door so when you opened it it would activate the map light that was mounted above.

Yep...exactly agree.  The glovebox light was an option and not standard equipment on these cars.
If you wanted you can add it to your car but will require some additional wiring because the wire harness will not be set up for this option.

Thanks everyone and good point Marcus about the wiring harness, for I have never seen provision for it.
