Hood scoop duct mesh
« on: August 01, 2022, 10:02:35 PM »
When prepping hood for paint,  is it common/best practice to remove the mesh on the rear ducts (epoxied in place) or rather take a less invasive approach and leave them in place ?

On a side note,  after owning the car since ?79,  i just noticed the mesh patterns are not consistent between the right and left rear ducts.   One is upside down.   Very subtle and frankly i?ve not noticed this ALL these years.

Has this been observed on others ?

The duct mesh should appear as if it was added after painting. However that is accomplish is up to the restorer.
