We keep the sets with the yellow and white stripes in stock. The reason we keep them is that I have a March '65 SJ FB that had the original heater hose. It had one yellow and one white stripe. That said, I don't believe we will ever be able to nail down when, why and where this combination was used.http://www.virginiaclassicmustang.com/WHITE-STRIPE-AND-YELLOW-STRIPE-HEATER-HOSE-4-FOOT-SECTION-OF-EACH-P143358.aspx

Do the stripes wipe off easily or are they very durable?
I don't think that there was any rhyme or reason to the one white, one yellow stripe thing, but what I have found is that the cars with yellow stripes always had A/C. So the Yellow stripes were mostly on A/C cars. That is what I have alwyas found. No definitive answer of course..Tony K.
There weren't red hoses on the 65 cars, were there?
Any possibility the different colors were plant specific?
