Could anybody please tell me if the C stripe was only available in flat white or was there a metallic or a reflective white available also on the 68 GT fb? Regards

The reflective was a separate option which would have been the stripe and wheels. GT or Sprints would have had plain stripes unless they also checked the reflective box.

And was the C stripe on Sprint cars painted or vinyl? Mine is vinyl and sure does look like it was masked off and painted around when my car got a new paint job which makes me think it was original to the car.

They were a sticker/tape from 3M material from the era

Aha. That makes a lot of sense since it is a pretty complicated stripe.

That being the case I was docked 2 points at Florence a you can see on my sheet.  It clearly says GT/CS stripe not painted but I have a Sprint B.  Do you suggest I reach out to MCA to suggest a change to the grading sheet to include Sprint B in the description?

It is very common knowledge that the GT stripe is vinyl, the same stripe is used on the sprint B so I see no need for a rule change. It is very unusual to paint around a stripe and I think your judges mistook the paint line from the repaint as a painted stripe.

I was confused by what they meant because they wrote "stripe is vinyl" which I thought they were stating a fact yet they deducted 2 points.  Any suggestion as to if I point this out to judges in the future?

You can point it out if you wish but you are sure to get a deduction for the paint line around the stripes.

Thanks Marty. I understand that could be the case and it's something I don't think is an easy fix.  As a matter of fact I did lose 5 points out of 25 under the paint workmanship section for the touched up dings on the car. Without a respray of the car it is what it is. Thanks again.

I did not receive one at all.  I had 116 points deducted.  But since Florence I have corrected a lot of the errors so I'm hoping for a better result in Evans GA this September.
