trunk lock
« on: April 26, 2022, 02:12:24 AM »
is there a trick for getting the trunk lock to fit properly and to slide the spring retainer on, the fibreglass panel is thicker than the metal panel, or is there a special trunk lock for the 69-70 Shelby different than the standard mach 1 lock...

The cutout of the tail panel doesn't include the trunk lock hole. The trunk lock mounts in the original hole on the metal tail panel before the fiberglass Shelby tail panel goes on. There is a small rubber or plastic cover that goes over the trunk lock cylinder before the Shelby tail panel is installed.

it is a rubber lock cover. They are not available but can be easily made.
