Hi All,
Did the mach1 70 have rear spoilers as an option back in the day?

Tossing whether to get one or not.
would like original but I guess hard to come by?

yes they did.  My 70 Mach came with it.  The 70 spoiler is fiberglass and heavy enough to require a prop rod in the trunk.  The deck lid bottom panel has cut outs to accommodate the bracket placement if the deck lid is from an original spoiler car.  The reproduction lids are all made with the cut outs just less the drill holes, that way they can be used either way.

Yes as shown below





Original 70's are much easier to find since they were optional on allot more cars than in 69

Respectfully disagree. 70 trunk lids for sportroofs/Mach I all had the provision to save cost and inventory hassles as shown below from a Mach I that is in the Unrestored picture thread sections of the site. Do have more examples




For the other part of securing the spoiler bracket to the car it used the outer trunk hinge bolt location as shown below

Thanks fellas - if I was to puchase a original factory spoiler. What would be a fair price? US Dollars.

All Peddals and gaskets are factory. And will I need a support Rod? Any Photos how to install?

I stand corrected it was the 69 lid that did not have holes all 70s do.

guy on Boss forums has one for sale , seems to be a pretty good price for oem . you can find install template on Ebay
