I am guessing that this trunk wire was for the Ford trunk light that Shelby took off when he put on the fiberglass trunk lids?
On a fastback, there's wiring that runs over the upper back trunk area for the RH side courtesy light.
That may be a feature of another year. The 67 comes off the A-piller dome light switch, under the sill plate and then to the light.
I should add that 67 Shelbys had the Courtesy Light Group. As part of this option this wire is run as a traveler taped to the rear harness for the light but not always used. See Bob's post about the trunk light.
That might be better as a separate thread. From the assembly manual (and others) there appear to be no wires built into the harness.I suspect if there was a 67 fastback (not coupe) option for the defrost it was a standalone harness. I've seen 68 fastback rear defrost systems but 67?Does a 67 factory fastback defrost system exist?
