Passenger side exhaust heat shield/riser paint
« on: March 04, 2022, 09:04:49 PM »
A couple of question on the BOSS302 exhaust heat shield/riser assembly that is bolted onto the passenger side exhaust manifold.

Were these painted offsite (possibly by the manufacturer)? If so would it be reasonable that they would be a slightly different shade of blue compared to the engine block paint?

Also were they sprayed or dipped?

Don't know that they were painted at the stamping plant . But they were not painted with the engines. Have not seen a visible difference between the color of the block, air cleaner base, lid and so on so they might have been painted from the same source as the engines at the engine plant.

Have not see or found heavy coating or drips that could be produced by heavy spraying or from dipping
