OK here is the scoop on my Clone car, it was originally a 70mach 1, built in DEC 69 in dearborn, with a 351-4v and fmx with 325 gears. I have obtained a 351w with correct heads out of a 69 Shelby gt350, correct Shelby intake and correct exhaust manifolds the fmx is out of a 70mach 1. the rear end will get a traction lock. I have the original hood and fenders, a NOS roll bar, a original wood shifter handle with cobra in it, the seatbelt and brake dash bezel lights. original centre caps for the legendary rims. it has new full rear 69 1/4s, floor pans and trunk panels. all the other parts i needed i have gotten from either the local mustang shop, branda, Kentucky mustang or Jesse from the Shelby shop and a few other awesome people scattered about with the odd part i needed. everything else will be replaced on the car, brakes, suspension, unisteer set-up, flipping everything, even the correct tach and 140 speedo! , all new wiring, the motor, trans and rear end have all been rebuilt as well. I thought this was going to be a pretty easy job, but it has morphed into something i would not wish on anyone. It is going in for paint in the next week or so, staying wimbledon white, but with black stripes down the side. and of course the gloss black stripes on the hood. It will look pretty close to what a 70 shelby looked like back in the day. once done i will post some pics. that's why i was asking about the paint markings,
