Fold down hinge bolts?
« on: February 26, 2022, 02:32:13 AM »
I am looking for a description and size of the 4 bolts that are used to attach the fold down hinges to the floor in the fastback. They look like a large head with star washer.

Have you looked in this forum's library under topic - "Mustang Hardware Spreadsheet 64-66"? There are two files, one by part number, the other by application - aka where used.

For which ever washer was original you could look at the marks left in the hinge. Those would confirm the washer style.

I suggest you include details of your car in your signature or in your message so we can be more specific.  Assuming yours is a '66 San Jose car, here are pics from a very early '66 SJ car.  I can't see or read the head markings on this image  :(

I found out they are 5/16-18 x 1 1/16" with a 1.12" conical washer swedged on. AMK makes them. Part F-939. NPD has them in their catalog with the hinge screws, but the hinge screws are incorrect as they has a slotted head.

Thanks for the help! And th pictures.
