So what was used on the underside of the hood on these cars? It looks like a texture was added to the underside with the support frame masked off. I can texture the same areas with SEM spray texture to replicate what I see in the unrestored pictures but I'm not sure how accurate that will be.

No texture added, just raw painted fiberglass

The texture seen on the underside of genuine 69/70 hoods is what the unfinished fiberglass looks like.
