rubber filler hose and fuel sender wiring
« on: January 11, 2022, 06:31:53 PM »
Late 64 Dearborn coupe, rubber filler hose, is it cloth covered?

And where can I obtain the correct fuel sender wire including pigtail. I've tried the usual sources and no-one seems to stock it. CJ stock the cloth covering but their replacement pigtail isn't correct.

Thanks
Andy

Try Rhode Island Wiring http://www.riwire.com/
I got the insulation for my license plate wire there.

Filler hose should not be cloth covered.  Textured rubber.

Definitely not.  I have had NOS ones with that service number and they were all regular rubber like I have seen on hundreds of cars.  It wasn't smooth rubber, a bit of a bumpy texture to it and usually had a white stripe.

Fair number of threads some with pictures of the filler tube. As far as we know - same as other plants of the time period
