GT Fog Lamp Wiring Routing
« on: November 09, 2021, 06:29:42 PM »
Could someone tell me the correct routing for the Fog Lamp Wiring harness and where the ground wire attaches ? We lost the pictures we took before disassembling the car.  Thank You!

Are you referring to the front main harness that contains the fog light wiring?  If so I would suggest buying a 68 electrical assembly manual there are many different wire holders and attach points. The grounds attach under the lower voltage regulator.

Yup. Get the whole 68 set.

Both of the Blue Fog Light connectors mate with the blue connectors that should be coming out of the wiring harness that is routed through the lower left side of the radiator support. the wiring from the Fog Light is attached to the grill support with a plastic clip. The left and right sides are a mirror image. The attached photo is the best shot I could get of the left side.

Was looking thru some posts on original fog lamp wiring at the grill and wanted to included photos here of what the original clips look like.  Had to learn the hard way that Ford service parts (fog lamp assemblies) have some differences with the clips they include being one of them.  These are the clips that hold the wiring to the grill support brackets.  Should be one on each side - one per fog light.  This one is a Dearborn CobraJet car built July 18 1968.

Marcus for the record when and where was the car built that you included in your post above. Just in case they are different at other plants or production periods?

Thanks
