Would guess that its a San Jose built car delivered to a California dealership.

As previously mentioned there was a guy that traveled between the bay area and SoCal and installed these (made by Acme) at the dealers often prior to the sale.  Have a few dozen examples I've collected over the years.

Wonder if the fastback also has a the two digit paint code to go along with the paint pattern or if this is something the owner/dealer added also

Owner just bought it, says it is a West coast car. Currently the car is in Arizona. J-code, auto and a/c, std interior.

I asked him for more details, no response in 8 hours.
