Set screw for visor arm
« on: August 17, 2021, 09:40:21 AM »
The set screws to mount the visors to the articulating corner bracket have gone awol.
These are the two that pinch the visor arm flat section.
Search on the Curylo hardware spreadsheet, the only candidate that looks right is:

53425-S13   8x15x1/2 FH .0262 'screw, flat, PHLPS, Tapping, (location) VISOR ARM AND BRACKET BODY CV

Can someone confirm this? I am a bit surprised to see any 'tapping' descriptor- all others on the spreadsheet use that too.

First, it's not a "set screw", but is identified as a flat head tapping screw. The third column of the spreadsheet give the reference used for the item's description, abbreviated for space, in this case the "AMK Products Guide To Ford Fasteners 1955-73", page 147 (shown as FF147). That screw is still available from AMK.
