Plastic owner information tag in the engine bay
« on: June 10, 2021, 08:09:47 PM »
Among the bits and pieces that came with the 1966 convertible 6F08C3096xx that I bought last week is a rectangular plastic tag with a name, an address in New Jersey and the date 11-4-1966, in raised letters such as might be produced by a Dymo labeller. I was very interested to see an image placed by Charles Turner in another recent post about the convertible roof motor circuit protection (image attached). In that image it is possible to see similar marks to those left by the label on my car; in the exact same location above the solenoid and just forward of the tube attachment point, which leads me to believe that my label is not unique. Has anyone else seen such a label?

Cheers

I'm skeptical.
The remains of the battery test decal is what you are seeing in Mr Turner's photo.
Assembly workers would have no idea who the owner would be.
Your Dymo labels were likely added by a previous owner.

Agree that what we see is the adhesive left by the paper battery check sticker applied on the factory assembly line by an inspector assigned to that task

Sometimes also found located directly above the starter relay
