Topic: 66 SJ Uncovering Exciting Information

While cleaning up the radiator support I found what I was looking for on the left side .The grease markings for the car ,first the yellow X for Vintage Burgundy and the yellow 66  for black deluxe interior  found a D on lower support but don't know what that means . Just some info for future reference .P S Thanks for the help from this web site

Thanks for sharing and since its posted for future reference could you provide more about the car. Like when it was built?

For others - remember  that some of these would have been applied over the black paint while others would have nor been easy to see as they were applied under the paint.

Thanks for the information .This is a true 1966 Mustang GT  the build date is approximate 11A in San Jose plant it has documented 88k miles unrestored  numbers matching but has come to the time in it's life to do some restoration I am going to use all the original parts that were on the car because nothing is worn out  front end steering just needs a good cleaning grease some new boots  ,The body is solid as a rock but needs some paint and redetail under carriage ,The wheels are in very good shape  cleaned one and it looks new even the black paint is good will need 2 new centers interior is in very good shape ,A /C is complete the smog system is still on it and complete.To say the least this one is a KEEEEEEEEEPER.

66 or 69?  The title has 69; the pictures and text indicate 66.

Change of year explains some of what you found as it didn't match what is typically seen in 69 there
