That type of approach might make for a very good engine decal reproduction since the available ones are incorrect for FE (wrong assembly plant reference letter). Maybe you could make some of those? I need a 359J and a 407J for 1968 DEP. Would be glad to buy several if they were available and authentic looking.

+1  . Of the two issues of historical original look vs. durability the historical look trumps durability IMO . That is how the typical concours judge would look at it IMO.

Ad lacks tons of details and specifics

IF your going for vinyl some of the current reproductions hold up well if you don't mind getting other details different than original
