both heater hoses thru the strap is new to me never seen one like that nor have I ever seen both holes ever taped on the shock tower brace.  the only hole I have ever seen with screw threads in it is the one closest to the shock tower

Both heater hoses through the strap on a K code would be the norm.  San Jose cars have been found with 2 screws.

I have taken a close look at my 2 holes on my rh export brace and the 1 closest to the shock tower apears to be the only one that has ever been used....the rear one looks like it was either drilled or punched and never used-this is a July '65 Dearborn K code.

Clamps used on heater hoses
« Reply #18 on: May 02, 2022, 08:07:52 PM »
I have a 65 GT.  In the routing diagram (attached) you'll see the heater hoses are connected together in two different places. Are these clamps? Zip ties? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Not sure which engine you have or where your car was assembled but guess you missed the discussion/thread on the subject. Will merge this post with that thread  ;)

Routing would differ depending on which of the two engines your car originally had

Found it using the words "heater hose routing" in the search feature though other word combinations would likely work also

Thank you...

289, 4V, A Code, build date 5/17/65, SJ.  Sorry that I wasn't clear on that.

I had already researched the post you directed my inquiry to and also searched elsewhere for an answer before posting.

There is no discussion about the type/nature of the specific connection (clamp or otherwise) which attaches the hoses together as they route. Hopefully, someone can provide some information.

Just keeping related discussions together

Don't believe you will find examples of clamps or otherwise (other than the strap to the shock tower support mentioned) holding the hoses together for your car and application. In another discussion of 66 San Jose hoses we found that on some applications the hoses were entwined with one another. Those drawings were generic drawings from likely the shop manual rather than a reflection of how our cars were built
