Trunk filler board- 1967 nj dec 23 1966
« on: March 23, 2021, 11:35:36 PM »
I?m trying to figure out what filler board to use in my trunk- the screw on one or the one that just sets in place. My trunk floors have been replaced and it doesn?t appear there are screw holes in the old panels but I?m not sure if they are original? I?ve read that the switch over was at the end of December/beginning of January.

The Dec-Jan change period has been documented here (see 67 San Jose Running Change thread) but haven't seen anything for Metuchen built cars. I don't have many examples where you can determine which board to go by.

What is the specific time period your looking for?  Maybe someone will have something to offer for that period to help out

Closest I have. Hopefully there will be others that can help. Good thing it that its easy enough to add the early style (just a couple of holes) so it may not slow up your work)

You car falls right in that change over period if its the same at NJ as it was at SJ

Since cars were not produced in sequential order we can not be certain but this might suggest that your did but would be a lot more solid of a statement if we had the real build date of the car i used in the survey or another car, built after yous with the board could be confirmed
