Obviously a 68-up stye battery so it will be as out of place in a 67 as the repro battery. I have seen nice shape 68-up dead batteries sell for 600.00-2000.00. There is a much smaller market for that 22 68-up style given they were not used in many high profile applications.
I agree and already understood that it would be out of place in any 67. The attraction was that 22F's are virtually unavailable in nearly ANY original vintage or vintage reproduction form, let alone being available in what appears to be assemblyline form (as I initially suspected this one was and now it seems confirmed).
Interestingly though, this example is obviously NOT a Ford Service part, it is also completely DRY inside. The sellers claim is that the old fella he got it from said that it never had been filled (how could THAT be is the obvious point of curiosity).
In any event, I did end up buying it. The idea was to offer it up for sale in the Concours arena. Look for the ad in the For Sale section.
I know what I have, no lowballers please
