Indent on '65 tunnel
« on: January 27, 2011, 10:29:27 AM »
Hey all,
I have a fellow local mustanger friend who is replacing the floor of his 65 coupe.  I notice a indent on top of the tunnel right behind the floor shifter's opening.  Sorry no pic, but based on my description, can someone tell me what the heck
this indent is for?   Sounds like repro pans don't have this.

Hello to Charles.

Update:  Here's a pic of it.   I was told it is the reverse light wiring indent.  Why would a wire harness need such an indent?

That's where the manual trans. back-up light wiring comes up into the car.  It needs an indent because the rubber grommet with the wiring through it looks like the same piece used on the back-up lamps... where the wiring goes into the trunk drop-offs.
