Sound Deadener Source
« on: December 06, 2020, 10:24:21 AM »
Is there any correct source for a 69 convertible? I believe Jack at Dead Nuts On has the correct trunk piece, but I need the under carpet pieces as well. I have seen several sources online but all of them seem to be missing the under seat half moon pieces which makes me wonder about the materials they are using as well as the appropriate thickness of each piece.

Any thoughts?

I just ended up making them myself. There is an article in the library and a thread I believe on the process we used. They will be thicker when new than the ones you find that are 50 years old and have been under foot, carpet or elsewhere all these years. You can compress them or they will settle over time

You'll be searching for underlayment not sound deadener

This is the short version without instruction steps
