Topic: 1970 tail light housing gaskets

Anyone have a process for cleaning up the taillight gaskets ? mine are still soft but have rust stains and some crust on them . I could just buy aftermarket ones i guess.  so i tryed soaking them in evapo rust.  It worked pretty good !i should have taken pictures . just wondering what others did or do. Not like they will be seen after car is back together. mark
