By chance if any readers are intake manifold and or induction system collectors, do you have a COUGAR letter "Weber" intake for 289/non-Boss 302 engines that you would mind taking a picture of for me?

I would like a picture I could add to my 1960s file. I have a scan of the dealer brochure on an induction system with what looks like COUGAR lettering added in a photographic lab. I have a small picture captured from an eBay® sale a few years ago that shows an intake somebody polished. I want a picture of just the intake from overhead.

Thanks for looking.

There used to be a website devoted to the G-Force Cougar, but it seems to be gone.

Youtube example.

Was there ever such a thing? I have seen a single 4V, dual 4V and three 2V Cougar manifolds but never have seen one for 4 Weber carbs.

L-M apparently went at least as far as advertising the induction system as "S7WK-9423 Weber Carburetor Induction System" for $595.00.  Except for COUGAR lettering the SHELBY lettered intake the Shelby Autosports catalog was also listed for $595.00.

I have been hearing about them for decades and one sold on eBay® a few years ago.

If one turned up in unmolested condition a few photos top and bottom should be plenty to authenticate one.

From the listing before it is gone:
"Very Rare original flyer for those interested in over the counter speed upgrades for their Cougar. This is the smaller version of "How To Sharpen A Cougar's Claws".

Ford part numbers included on the order form: S7WK-6B068-A - S1CR-6250-6 - S7WK-6B068-B - S1CR-6250-A - S7WK-9428-A - S7WK-6B068-C - C4DZ-12050-A - C3DZ-7A537-A - S7WK-16612-A - S7WK-1007-A - S7WK-3600-A - S7WK-17360-A - C5RZ-17696-A - S7WK-6A547-A - S7WK-9423 - S1CK-6052 - S7WK-6675-A - S7WK-6003-A

Fun fact: when this was sent out to dealers in late 1966, it was accompanied by this letter: ...."

Never recall seeing one but that doesn't mean they were not made.

Did find a picture to offer but its not close enough or the right angle to provide any clues though wanted to post just in hopes that it would help somehow. Sure others have seen the same picture.

Thanks Jeff, neat pictures.

There were all kinds of Ford (and Shelby) performance and racing parts that never got into what you might call the mainstream. Four bolt main HP289 engine cylinder blocks, single over head cam HP289s, racing intakes and carburetors made in quantities of a few to less than twenty, custom oil pans,  custom exhausts, special racing starter assemblies, experimental blocks and cylinder heads in 260 and 289 sizes, and on and on.  I have the fourth of five known prototype 1967 Shelby Mustang Group II induction systems. It was not something you could just walk into a Ford dealer and buy. At least one of the mid 1964 prototype R-3259 carburetors used in GT350 development still exists and is in use in a GT350.

Even paying attention since the 1960s there are some parts, especially related to Shelby American, that I have seen less the six of ever in any condition.
