1967 Mustang fastback Sunvisor rod and brackets
« on: September 27, 2020, 09:21:13 AM »
Both of my original sunvisor brackets and rods are severely pitted. I am contemplating to see if these can be re-chromed or are there any quality replacements? Any pitfalls removing these or reinstalling?

Thank you

Scott

The base of the brackets are pot metal and it is very difficult and expensive to repair. I would look for a better used set or by a set of reproductions.

They are easy to remove and replace.

True.
To chrome properly, everything needs to be disassembled. That's easy. Putting everything back together- that's hard.
